Hey Rachel,
What a great sandwich, I love Tuna too and I am going to try this one as soon as I have some time for lunch at home. I may use my vegan almond mayonnaise (it is really great) and perhaps even try it with tempeh sometimes when I want to do the vegetarian option...but the choice of avocado is raeally new to me...thanks for this!

Love

Hello Wendy,

Thanks for posting more info on the 5 Rites. We need more info spread about this powerful technique.

May I add a couple of things. The original book actually states that the 5 Rites can be done 21 times both morning and evening eventually. This level just must be worked up to gradually. Also, Col. Bradford mentions that he performed several of the Rites 50 times which means that this may be another level for advanced practitioners.

Also, in the original book, it doesn't say that one needs to be celibate. It says a 'more or less incontinent lifestyle'. Fortunately, this doesn't mean complete celibacy, as I clarify in my workshops.

You can get a copy of the original 1939 & 1946 versions for free at www.theeyeofrevelation.com.

Thanks again for spreading the word.

These cookies look really simple to make with 7 easy household ingredients. I can't believe they are made without sugar. I always use sugar for cookie recipes. It's really good that you put whole wheat in them too. They sound a lot healthier than your average cookies. It would be so good not to have to feel guilty about enjoying a treat once in a while. Thanks for sharing this recipe

Thanks Becky! recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (aka rBGH) has a lot of health hazards, which is why it's been banned here in Canada as well as every other developed nation EXCEPT the USA for more than a decade. It's so important to know what's in everything you're putting in your body, including milk. You're right, organic is the best solution in that regard because these artificial chemicals cannot be added to it at any point in the production.

Excellent article Rachel, very well researched. In the US we have Monsanto avoiding to include important data regarding their growth hormone and its link to cancer. I am in hopes that articles like this and other attempts to spread the awareness will awaken the many people who blindly buy into getting their non-organic milk filled with antibiotics and growth hormones, because they or their family needs the calcium. It doesn't have to be that way, let's all spread the word.

When you knead the dressing into the kale (step 3) it will begin to break down and soften the kale, making it easier to chew. The longer you knead, the softer it will get. Also, be sure to remove thick center stems, as they can be quite tough. To remove the stems easily, hold the stem in one hand at the base of the leafy part, and then put the other hand around the stem and pull up the stalk, tearing the leaves away and leaving the stem behind. It will naturally snap when the stem becomes tender.

One of my favorite snacks! When I see them I get seedless avocados (I read into it, not gmo) which are perfect for one serving. I also like a light drizzle of olive oil. If I've got fresh thyme its an excellent addition as well.

Thanks for the great tips Jason. While I'm traveling, one of the things I love to do for exercise is to take myself on a walking tour of the area. Usually, hotels will have a map of the city, and I mark on it where the hotel is and then head out to see what I can explore. Unique neighborhoods, historic buildings, and people watching - there's so much you can enjoy.
